Author Pastor Carzadean Harris's Biography

Pastor Carzadean Baker Harris, known to her family and close friends as“Josie” is a native of Savannah, GA, where she currently resides with her husband Mr. William M. Harris. She is the 9th child and 8th daughter of the late Mrs. Lucille E. Tanksley and the daughter of the late Mr. Joseph A. Baker, Jr.
Pastor Carzadean as she has become affectionately known to her
members and followers, answered the call to ministry and preached her initial sermon, on Sunday, December 30, 2001. She was further trained in ministry under the leadership of the late Rev. Robert H. Thorpe at the Peaceful Zion Missionary Baptist Church (PZBC) in Savannah, Georgia and ordained on Sunday, August 1, 2004. She presently serves as the Pastor and Co-Founder of RHEMA Christian Fellowship Ministry Virtual Community Church where she served alongside her husband, since 2009.
She faithfully served as a member of the Grammy Nominated, "The Savannah Community Choir" under the direction of Mr.
E. Larry McDuffie for more than 30 years. She is the co-owner and
operator of a local printing company, Carz-InChrist Creations, Inc.

Carzadean is a 1980 graduate of the Alfred Ely Beach High School in Savannah, Georgia. She holds a degree in Practical Nursing from Savannah-Vocational Technical School (1984) where she graduated with honors. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Armstrong Atlantic State College in 1997, a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2002, and a degree in Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership from Cambridge College in 2009. During her tenure with Savannah-Chatham County Public School District (SCCPSS) for more
than 30 years, she received numerous accomplishments and awards and held many positions; Paraprofessional, Certified Classroom Teacher (3rd - 5th grades), Technology Lab Instructor, Math Lab Instructor, America’s Choice Math Coach, Academic Coach, and finally Assistant Principal for more than 9 years; retired August 1, 2020. During her tenure in education she presented at numerous local, regional, and national educational conferences.
Pastor Carzadean's favorite scripture says, “Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me Oh Lord indeed, and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me and keep me from evil.” And God granted that which he requested." 1 Chronicles 4:10. Her scripture of refuge and daily encouragement says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
